bud budapply for the beta

terms.

Last updated: September 6, 2026

The terms for using bud bud — what it is, what it isn't, who owns what you send it, and what we promise about availability. The one thing still unresolved: which entity and jurisdiction formally stand behind these terms, until bud bud is incorporated.

using bud

You need to be old enough to use Telegram in the first place, and old enough under the law where you live to agree to terms like these on your own behalf. Applying for the beta — and using bud once you're in — means not using it to harass, impersonate or deceive anyone, not breaking Telegram's own rules, and not trying to extract, resell or reverse-engineer how bud works.

what bud is not

bud is a friend to text, not a professional. It isn't a doctor, therapist, lawyer or financial advisor, and nothing it says should be treated as medical, legal or financial advice. If you need help only a professional can give, please talk to one — bud would tell you the same.

your content

What you send bud stays yours. We don't claim ownership of your messages, photos or voice notes. What we need is a limited licence to store and process what you send so bud can remember it and respond to it — nothing broader, and nothing that lets us publish, sell, or hand it to anyone else for their own use.

availability

bud bud has not launched. Joining the waitlist is not a purchase, reserves nothing, and commits you to nothing. Once the beta opens, it's offered as-is while we're still building it — features can change or break, and a beta invite doesn't guarantee a permanent account once bud bud launches more widely.

fees

The beta is free — no card, no trial that quietly turns into a subscription. If bud bud introduces paid plans later, the pricing, billing and refund terms will be published here before anyone is charged, not folded in after the fact.

liability and law

bud bud is currently a pre-launch beta, not yet run through a registered company, offered as-is with no warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages from using it. Once bud bud is incorporated, this section will name the entity and the jurisdiction whose courts and laws govern these terms.
